How is ISC 12th percentage calculated?
For ISC (Class 12), the percentage is based on English plus your best three other subjects. That makes four subjects of 100 marks each, so the total is out of 400.

Best four = 84 + 96 + 92 + 81 = 353. Percentage = 353 ÷ 400 × 100 = 88.25%. If you averaged all five subjects instead, you would get 429 ÷ 5 = 85.8%, which is why it matters to know which method a form is asking for.
PCM, PCB and other subject-group percentages
Engineering, medical and some university applications ask for the aggregate of specific subjects, such as Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Untick the subjects you do not want in the tick column and the "custom aggregate" line shows that percentage. It is separate from the official best-of-4 figure.
ISC Grade to Percentage
CISCE uses a 9-point grade scale for ISC subjects as well, where Grade 1 is the highest. Pick a grade to see the approximate band. When you know your actual marks, always use those for your percentage.
